When someone is in a short position and therefore needs to keep a lid on the pps, he/she understands that most of the rest of the market is going to go....whoa, what's going on there?

Naturally, those are also some of the types of posts that will show up on message boards too, under those circumstances.

When volume is low, I'm sure you can see the short-term opportunity that presents itself, for such a person.

Its a scare tactic.

That's the psychology that he/she is trying to capitalize on.

The reality is that he/she is creating prime buying opportunities. It might not seem so to some at the time, due to the nature of the game being played.

But longer-term is another matter.

Defeating him/her = understanding what we really have here with FASC + news of sales + consistent buying.
