Hi basserdan: Ten years ago Tom Clancy wrote in "Executive Decisions" about a 747 that slammed into the Capitol, killing the entire executive and legislative branches; along with the entire Supreme Court. Also in the book was a mid-east politician working with biologists to develop an air-borne virus intended to kill a lot of Americans. Your post on the Avian Flu is a bit distressing.

Through the years, Clancy has been my favorite author and one of the few that I would spend the bux for the hard cover copies... I think the story you noted was titled "Executive Orders" and was in hindsight, somewhat suggestive of the 9-11 tragedy...
