You are not taking into account the difference between (1) a continuation-in-part application, and (2) a continuation application. The reasons you need do so to be justified in your opinion are explained in the two PMs I sent you on the topic.
..."continuations"-in- part, which the 2 patents are, do not necessarily have to expire on the same date as "continuations" from the same parent application
