Option premiums reflect neither optimism or pessimism - they reflect only the market's prediction of the stock's future volatility.

Yes, of course you are right. My (unstated) point was that in addition to not reflecting the OP's pessimism, they didn't reflect optimism either.

IOW, the options prices reflect very little expectation of movement in either the up OR down direction - by implication lending no "support" to the OP's assertion.
