I've been watching Genoptix (GXDX) getting hammered for more than 6 months… They've disappointed on revenues and earnings and recently guided lower (stating that the weak economy is "affecting physician and patient behavior") but is still nicely profitable and now about 60% off its 52 week high. I'm curious if anyone else follows GXDX, whether or not you have an opinion about their excuse for lowering their estimate (it sounds more like a euphemism for "competition is eating our lunch")…

I wouldn’t think general economic conditions would affect GXDX’s business that much, but I suppose it’s possible. Look out if GXDX blames its next revenue miss on global warming :- )
