btw Dick ever since I brought up the fact that your son could have put your granddaughter on his insurance rather than making his wife have to pay $5,000 more you have not explained how you overcame this little diddy. You kept on saying that it was retroactive and it was going to cost them $5000. Naturally the simple solution was to put the child on your son's insurance until open enrollments started (they are starting now for us) and have further savings.
It does point out how some of you conservatives arrive at decision though and it's not pretty.
