I assume you are running your computers this way. How much RAM do they have ? 8GB ? Can you have many applications open at the same time ? Or do you need to be careful about that ?
I tried turning off virtual memory on my desktop PC (Intel I3, with 4 GB RAM). Some applications crash. Others don't even start. So I had to turn the swap file back on. I assume that 8GB is minimum for dispensing with virtual memory.
