02/16 The bond index seems to be slipping off its
run-up. McClellan has been relentlessly bullish
since the last day of January. The bad data for
the US dollar index was corrected today. The dollar
index was up a trace today, as was XGLD. XOI is on
a rampage.
02/15 Our Optimism Index is still creeping up. The
dollar index was down a little, XGLD was up a
little and XOI was up, closing above $800.
02/14 Our Optimism Index stopped it's fall in positive
territory. The dollar index is down a little from
Thursday (we had bad data on Friday and it hasn't
been corrected, yet). XGLD was rambunctious and
XOI advanced a little.
02/11 Our Optimism Index is still positive but trickling
southward. Our data source had bad data for the
dollar index today, XGLD was strong closing above
$420.00, and XOI gained over $22.00.
02/10 The bond index fell for the first time in a
week. The dollar index fell, XGLD had a strong
day, and XOI rocketed upward.
02/09 Our Optimism Index is doing a pretty good job of
raising the warning flag. It's still falling and has
fallen out of the area we consider bullish. TRIN/TRINQ
Bretz numbers both popped above 6, showing considerable
anxiety. VXN/VXO moved up, too. The dollar index fell
a little, XGLD moved up a dollar, and XOI yielded just
a trace.
