They could but why do that,That cuts into their profits They are locked into a very simple cash flow that will not grow ,,
This company is gonna be worth billions soon They know it and leasing the tech would just cut their proverbial balls off,,Collecting royalties is fine A guy that writes a book gets a piece of the action the publisher gets it all.. Its his book he gets paid a pitance This company knows that as well
