CalciTech Ltd upgrades chemical facility in Germany

Sep 01, 2010 (M2 EQUITYBITES via COMTEX) -- CalciTech Ltd (Plus Markets:CLK) (OTCBB:CLKTF) said on Tuesday that the company's wholly owned subsidiary, CalciTech Synthetic Minerals Europe Ltd (CSME), has relocated its German operations to a new facility in Leuna.
This new Leuna facility, which is adjacent to the Leuna chemical complex, will reportedly meet the requirements of additional product and application development phases.

The company said that the installation of the pilot plant in the new facility is equipped to test the forthcoming phases in its technical development programme, including the conversion of de-inked paper sludge into Synthetic Calcium Carbonate (SCC) and Sustainable Metakaolin (SMK).

Additionally, the company added that the laboratory and offices in the Leuna facility will hire new technical staff, responsible for the upcoming phases in industrial plants in Europe.
