ok,
Now imagine this iHub as a car,
in the back seat eating a bakers dozen KKD is Matt,
and driving the car is Bob.
So far so good ?
Well, not really real since Bob & Matt have decided to speed-up.
To arrive at a destination sooner than later.
They have decide to give iHub more visibility.
To change roads, from an incline of about 5%
to one like a steep hill, upwards very quick.
So, "Whats the problem Milkman?"
Well, the little engine "that could"
so far has "did"
even with those back-fires last month,
but this is a new ball-game,
a new road, as in rapid acceration is needed,
buts that not the whole story,
as is needed is my little & true short story.
In the early 1970s i spent time living in Australia,
and they have connections to England and the Queen,
but on the road it was English made cars, and unless
you got off on a Jag, well they were dull etc etc
except for the Mini as they were called (BMW makes today)
and eventhought it was an over sized shoe box in size,
it was a fun kids car. But they had another model i forget
the name, shaped like a small Chicago mob's 1930s car
when one could buy a Tommy machine gun in a hardware store,
and it was illegal to drink a beer etc. That type car except this one
was about the size of a VW Beetle Bug, but had rear wheel drive
and an engine up front very small tiny about 35 h.p. and a 3 speed
like an old truck that had the knob for the hand at the top of about
a long 3 foot rod into the floor and gear box, but eventhought it was
a very long throw, it had a wonderful solid metal click into each gear,
and it didn't have a tack since it did not need one since the soundproofing
was near zero and the engine sounding rev'ing was loud & clear so that
your ear knew the rev too low or high. Bottom line, i loved the car
as once i saw it on a house with 4Sale sign i stopped my "better" car
and on the spot payed cash and did the buy. (A$75)
ok, Now the fun was the work required to get it up to speed,
as just to keep-up with normal traffic i had to rev that engine
near to whatever the red line was based on noise whining,
through all 3 gears just to reach 35 mph and then hope for
a wind in my back to get it faster :o) all the time trying to
remember that them cars driving on the wrong side of the road
are really not, as its ME.
ok, Now there was a place in Canberra i needed to visit a friend
and oops it was up a hill. Not much of a hill, but with 35 hp engine,
well, you get the picture, but not fully as the trouble spot was that
just before the hill was a traffic light. Now if i started up that hill
from a rest, then i found out that when i shifted into second from
a top speed red'ed line of about 9 mph in first, that not enough
for this little engine, as it could not. It was an old transmission
type that was not synco-something and i could not shift back
into first while moving, so i needed to do a complete STOP.
So eventhough i could travel up that 1/4 mile hill in first all the way
whining the crapola out of the engine, it hurt me to listen to it.
Also, when my second did not do the trick and i needed to go into
a full STOP, well, enough engine in first but the clutch was not
strong enough to grab and hold to move from zero when motion
was upwards rather than flat, so i had to roll back down that hill.
Solution was to pull off the road about 1/8 of a mile from the hill
and the traffic light and time it just so that while it was Red
i would pull out into no traffic and race-car it to a max speed
in second just as i reached the traffic light turning Green,
and and would just make it to the top of the hill, safe :o)
ok, Now i forgot why i told this story.
Maybe if iHub's car wants to travel faster,
then it needs to understand that hill effect.
A head-wind slows us all down.
Extra weight also.
But what about weight we already have,
them bakers KKD dozen in the back seat.
Might be ok on a flat road, but for iHub to go upwards,
well, we might need to lose some weight.
Now if Matt is the boss, then thats a no no :o)
And Matt needs Bob (so far :o)
ok, What else slows iHub ?
ANSWER: advs
DUMP the advs iHub and make it adFREE
pay for today's version of the paying
registered FREEs get today's without advs
unregister visitors get Blasted BLAMed with msg: be a paying....
and watch the registered FREEs without advs increase x10
as this will be the promotion pitch you hang up high
iHub has 3 versions
- pay and no advs and full features and privieges
- register FREE and no advs and limited posting and no features
- no register and get blasted to planet outside Pluto(my home)
and just maybe
maybe the word will go out
FREE FREE FREE FREE FREE boards
really FREE
no advs
just register
with the only adv is the internal iHub message
- Want More Access & Power -
But, the hill may not exist in front of iHub's car,
it may just be a load it is now pulling,
the advs, and as iHub's car is made to travel faster,
the advs may be like an anchor
while now at a low speed its just being dragged on it size,
but at a higher speed it will turn on its side and "dig in"
and like my little car than really could not
iHub may feel a head-wind or hill
not there
not in front of it
and then realize "too late"
its that adv-anchor it is dragging behind.
