One thing the FS should do is force the accounting of all shares, whether shorted or not. This might put the shorted share conspiracy theory to bed for a while.

I agree the FS will not, by itself, cause the sp to increase. In fact, it will cut in half. A few solid PRs on the heels of the split would be very beneficial.
