They'll go long.

The economy won't disappear because stocks go down or because shorts exist. Any smart short covers or switches to long when they find stocks that, in their eyes, are at a fair valuation. When stocks are fairly valued, they'll track earnings, and the cycles all will repeat.

The host will not be destroyed. Injured, whacked, bloodied. . . all are possible. But despite your dire tone and weighty words, your position makes no sense in light of history or the current situation. But the tenor of your posts is certainly. . . impressive, imo.
