Switching Out Of A GPO Contract

I know Healthtrust members can switch to a generic. I asked the question in one of our meetings that: If Teva's enoxaparin is approved then is the SNY null and void?

The answer was that the contract does not exclude switching to a generic but the contract would not be nullified. My assumption is that means HPG members can switch to any generic.
