"Cloaked Shorting" - I like the sound of that.
However the reality IMO is that investors are fearing a "Splat" 'just around the bend' and don't want to get wacked by a very wobbly market. So there are more and more investors playing it safe: selling and going to cash on the sidelines for the time being.
