dvt prophylaxis

Actually, BP, I think short term low dose enoxaparin is more palatable than coumadin for the type of patients I am thinking of. These are the deconditioned, frail patients recuperating from acute illness who often end up going to nursing homes, rehab facilities, or home with visiting nurses. In these settings it is easier (more expedient?) to just continue the enoxaparin a few more weeks rather than start a new drug with drug-drug interactions, need for monitoring, and a higher risk of bleeding complications.
