F6, the very post I am replying to is a testiment to the typical dismissive slanted out of touch view progs exhibit. But at least you read views very different than your own.

“Private-sector employment for the nation as a whole fell by 6.9 million jobs between the December 2007 start of the recession and July 2009. Over the same period, state and local government employment rose by 110,000 jobs or 0.6 percent,” said Donald J. Boyd of the Nelson A. Rockefeller Institute of Government’s Fiscal Studies Program.

“Government employment accounts for more than 22 million jobs, 17 percent of total U.S. employment, with state and local governments accounting for the vast majority of this,” said Boyd.

But if we try to cut government the first to go are teachers , police, fire fighters, the most valuable.... not the throngs of bobocrats littering Washington and State Capitals... the aim of this is to thwart attempts to cut the bloated gov... imho hge
