Wow! A post of a different investment opinion with-out degrading some one! I am impressed.
I will agree at the overly invested part of your statement. I will also agree that in the past Cal used to overly pre-promote
potential as to leading to the "always around the corner". In this I do agree. Cal now waits for Sales completions before he PR's them. His words to me were "I learned my lesson"
How-ever, it is not just around the corner anymore. We are on the "edge" MnVap, Malasia and JP Plantech are just reving up!
You had a decent post of opinion mixed with a little fact, I give mine also.
......I do feel people ought to come up with a personal rule for them selves of how much to invest in a particular investment.
Example 3 - 5% +- ...what ever their particular tolerance is. In that I will agree with you I am slightly over invested here. I am heavily over invested in Realestate. Fortunately there is no board to beat me over the head on that one!!!!
Realestate brings a false sense of security for people also. Values go up and down which I can deal with since I pay cash, but the Taxes, insurance and maintenance overhead brings potential carry risk. At least with stocks I do not have the immediate feel of carry cost. My biggest concern with especially small
company stocks such as FASC is "will they be there?" The evidence shows that FASC is going to be here. You have to watch
the dealerships add. Potentialy FASC may have to sell out due to financial reasons? but with so many Companies beginning to build their own lines with the KDS as a part of their production the KDS technology in which we own will continue.
Cal will make it on his own or sell if forced to. But I do not think we will go under?
.....if I am wrong, it will not be the first time. And fortunately I have been right a few times also!
Diversify! Diversify! Diversify! And we will be ok.
