Audits usually take quite a while. I have seen some take 6 months or more. I'm not sure why some are done in a month and some take the better part of a year, but I assume it has something to do with money and the size of the business itself. These companies are typically outsourcing all the financial reports so it takes a bit longer than it would take a large corporation with in house accountants.
