I'd say they're waiting for something concrete to report in a PR, and they obviously don't have it yet.

Also, I believe that to release a PR costs a certain amount of $$, so with their limited resources they are not going to pay to put out fluff. I could be wrong about PR's and costs though.
Not sure.
