It's a matter of delivering on promises. If you pick up a film with the understanding of an 800 theater release, Do It. I believe the problem is there are lots of grand promises that they can't deliver on. Please don't take my texting here as the gospel. . Call around. Ask questions. Call past filmmakers. That's how I find things out. All the names are in the book. It's like checking a reference for a potential new doctor. Do you go to a cancer specialist because you saw his ad on the side of a bus? NO. Check the past references.
Now for my positives. These guys are great at DVD releasing. They have great retail relationships. WALMART is their neighbor. They've been in business for a long time. They are moving at a fast and heavy pace to embrace VOD. They have made it public that they want to offer Blu-Ray's at a lower price. Their core business is run lean. (according to what you guys have told me, there are only 4 or 5 employees and a warehouse for their merchandise?) Eric can sell ice to eskimos. And according to some of you he looks a lot like superman.
So, my two twelve cents, if they can forget about the incredibly hard business of releasing theatrical films, I think they would be better off.
And Jeff, Take me off ignore. That's rude.
