Yes, I look at institutional ownership. IMHO, a lot of listed stocks have held ground because the institutional buyers have fled the NDX techs/telecoms for the safer stocks, CPN among them. Your implication is correct, however: all that institutional ownership spells potential selling power. When I see them heading for the exits, so will I. It will not likely be subtle, as we've seen many times in the past year.
