You are exactly right. The .0009's are readily being bought and you have to figure that there would be such a scramble for the lower priced shares that any drop to close the gap would be very short and low volume.

In other words, anyone hoping to cover a short position on a spike down to close a gap would likely have fierce competition for shares and not be able to complete the covering.
