You might find it interesting to notice that Genzmes new Framington site includes a 55k sq ft mfg structure coupled with a 185k sq ft QA/QC building.

Now in Genzymes case this QA/QC building is only for the 55K mfg site in many companies their QA/QC is a corporate affair that isn't included in COGS and is part of the Admin charge.

Normal parental drug companies probably have 25% to 30% of their manpower in QA/QC.
