I thought you were past that phase after discussing this subject the last 1,2,3...times.
I have learned from you that no current cancer tests are perfect. If they show a negative reading,they are really positive and if they show a positive result, they are actually negative. Further no test is really for cancer...they are only aids in the detection of cancer...except for the biopsy which is to cumbersome to get so we need not even count that one.
If Recaf showed a cancer at the higher cut off of 100 % specificity I would just mark it up to human error. The person just checked the wrong box and I would send the report back demanding that they check off the cancer = no box.
Quick question Gold. At the ISOBM, will you ask the lady at the front desk what the difference is between an immunoassay and a molecular test?
Also if possible please see if they have any info on the operation and maintenance of a simple centrifuge and any free pipette give aways.
