ARYX—Their seems to be some interest in tecarfarin in the cardiology community for it. Obviously their first major study didn't show superiority, but at least it wasn't inferior…

ARYX’s showing that Tecarfarin was non-inferior to warfarin was a Pyrrhic victory if ever there was one. The whole thrust of anticoagulant development on the small-molecule side has been to get rid of warfarin once and for all. Now that there are oral anticoagulants that are demonstrably better (#msg-52988021), there’s no reason why anyone would want to stick with warfarin or something very similar to it.
