ARYX’s showing that Tecarfarin was non-inferior to warfarin was a Pyrrhic victory if ever there was one. The whole thrust of anticoagulant development on the small-molecule side has been to get rid of warfarin once and for all. Now that there are oral anticoagulants that are demonstrably better (#msg-52988021), there’s no reason why anyone would want to stick with warfarin or something very similar to it.
