i don't see why epo would be contraindicated. ribavirin causes a hemolytic anemia so i guess in theory if you boost RBC production while hemolysis is ongoing you may get a further bump in bilirubin or get some hemoglobinuria, but as far as i know epo is accepted to use to manage ribavirin-induced anemia (along with of course dose reduction)
