Its not my debt. It belongs to a congress that has bought off a majority of the population with gifts paid for by taxpayers. If we could trust congress (HA) to pay off the debt, I would be all for it, but they have proven that more money only equals more spending. The only way to cut congress' spending is to take away the money.

Uh, huh, like the additional $1.2 trillion in defense spending under Reagan that was paid for with borrowed money. You're right. That truly did appear to be a gift to John Tower and the state of Texas.

I do know what you mean about Congress, though. You gotta watch those we-don't-have-the-money,-but-we'll-spend-anyway conservatives. LOL

BTW, pat, under Clinton, $360 billion has been paid down on the debt, $233 billion last year alone. This is the first time since 1949 that the national debt has been paid down for three years in a row.

So since it's been proven that it can happen, are you all for it now?
