They may well survive, but the trend isn't their friend. AMD needs Hammer volume, asap. And they will still have a marketing battle, there is no proof that Hammer will be accepted by the end user. If the current technology slump extends past the first quarter of next year, AMD's balance sheet is not going to be attractive to their creditors.
