BigLaw Business Model:

Biller: "Hay client, I've got an idea. We could file X and try to delay things and maybe change the game (even though I know it won't work) - shall we do this?"

Gullible Client: "What's the downside?"

Biller: "There is no downside whatsoever to filing it."

Gullible Client: "Would you recommend that we do it?"

Biller: "Yes, I think it can do no harm and might help. (even though I know it's pointless)"

Gullible Client: "Cha-ching, baby. Hay, Sandy, get that new first year associate who is low on billables this month and looking for projects to come to my office for a motion drafting assignment, and tell him to bring one of the summer associate clerks with him to do some billable legal research for it."
