Mikkj - Time to have fun with the president select.

From tonight's speech, a Freudian slip or what: "my pan plays down the national debt." LOL

Oh god, that was good!!!

I also enjoyed hearing the commentary from the media afterwards. They commented on how when Clinton made his speeches, the Republicans, those good-natured, uncontentious, fair-minded people who are now asking for civility, sat on their hands even during parts of the speech that they agreed with.

Whereas, the Democrats applauded certain aspects of Bush's speech. Unlike the Republicans during Clinton's presidency, they acted civily.

After the wolf's have torn at the throats of the sheep, the sheep still turn the other cheek, and the wolf's ask for civility. Frankly, I've gotten sick of that attitude which was why I supported Gore's look-see into what happened in Florida. I wanted him to fight for the right to find out what happened when so many questions popped up. Too, often, in the name of civility the Democrats have rolled over and played dead.

There would not have been any major delays or problems if the Bush camp had simply said, "oh my, there are questions here, and, shucks, I'd hate any implications considering my brother is the Governor, so heck, yeah, let's manually recount them thar votes...that's, afterall, the Texas way."

But, no the Republicans are masters at using the Democrats civility to their advantage. Thus, the recent dicussions here.

BTW, it was real cute how the speech writers made sure Bush didn't have to say any BIG words tonight. LOL
