Gold , RECAF is designed to screen patients, if not alone, then in conjunction with the current approved screening methods.

Gold, If the test is only positive in patients with cancer (specificity=100%), every single way to find that cancer should be used and if nothing is found, then the patient should be monitored regularly.
If the RECAF levels stay up or increase or the patient starts developing non-specific symptoms such as anorexia, fatigue That ensures detecting the cancer as soon as it becomes evident to the physician, who is trained to detect it, rather than sending the patient back home and wait for him or her to decide when to come back (because the tumor became "clinically evident" to him or her).

Here is an interesting question: Loss of appetite, fatigue and weight loss are often related to the presence of cancer. However, those symptoms do not point to a cancer location. Therefore, if a patient presents showing loss of appetite, fatigue and weight loss, should the physician NOT search for cancer because there is no indication where it might be?
