Several of us are "biased" in favor of Ihub.
We seem to have differing ideas of the site, though.
We also seem to have differing ideas concerning people and their behavior.
It appears you want to rehabilitate them.
I just want them to understand the rules. The decision to abide by the rules is theirs to make. The responsibility for violations of the rules is theirs to accept or reject as they see fit. I treat all adults and many children in this manner and they appreciate the respect that I give them individually.
All this social worker/rehabilitation crud is just that, IMO.
Publish the rules,
Set the site so no registration is accepted until affirmation that the rules have been read is noted,
Warn on first violation
Punish lightly on second violation, (set specific punishments, no more: "convince me that you understand how you erred and you must promise to go and sin no more")
Punish severely on third violation(set definite jail sentences or limit posts severely for specific periods)
Terminate on fourth violation, no ifs, ands, or buts, Terminate. If you're concerned about lawsuits, refund the persons subscription, if they're free-loaders, not to worry.
Apply rules in all cases, equally to all members across the board. No interpretations or excuses allowed. No special privileges for those who "post about stocks". You screw up, find yourself in the justice system, you know what to expect.
It's been my experience that when treated like adults and equals, that generally is the response. Otherwise, otherwise.

It's all a game. There are winners and losers but the game never ends.
