Going to MacDonalds or out to eat was a treat, not a every other day event...we ate chuck steak not sirloin because it was cheaper and we watched our money closely...we got 6 or 7 gifts for Christmas not 25 or 30...we almost always had a parent home to care for us not a daycare center with 1 or 2 people trying to instill moral values in 25 or 30 kids and hoping they are teaching them right...baseball games were $5 a ticket for bleacher seats not $25 or $30 a ticket....Yes, I remember.
