Thats an excellent summary of a reasonable bear case. So far you are winning the argument vs zeev but of course he can come from behind with the extent of the rally. My take is that a 25% naz rally is small for the following reasons:
Extent of decline has been so great that even 50% from your low of 1000 only gets us back to 1500 or so imo. Money going back into bonds will only occur if rates go up dramatically along with the rally. Dont think so. And naz 1000 as a round number--there have been so many round numbers breached and with naz down almost 4000 points already, i dont believe naz 1000 has much significance. Market looks six-nine months out, well past the double dip. At some point things look good for that cyclical bull. Whatever low the naz finally makes, i would double that for the possible high next year or by early 2004. Just some guesses here. marv
