I think what we're seeing is the emergence of a winner in the flash wars. The absense of a major player who is able to do something constructive here leaves SNDK the winner and SSTI, LEXR, FLSH - etc. to be bought up or merged away. AMD or INTC will likely slug it out for embedded flash, but removable seems to be owned by SNDK. Whether that is good or not remains to be seen. :^))
