Vol... my opinion is they do not have a celeb yet. just my opinion. they are working on it, but they do not have one yet.
Look, I want a celeb to give this thing more credibility and increase the chances of getting more eyes on MM yada yada. but right now, its a credibility and standings issue and MM does not have any YET.
as an example, I can start looking for a celebrity spokesperson for my company today.. I will mail out letters to Van Halen, Ozzy, Aerosmith, and Motley Crue. All of their management will receive my proposal letters and offer. Its not hard to contact these people, but it is hard to get a deal done, especially if you are short on cash and reputation. And MM is short on BOTH. That is fact. 10 million is NOTHING, and the website is in an infant stage and so is the BRAND for now. I can PR that Im in contact with these artists and or their management. FACT I can say we are in negotiations and I expect to have a decision soon. FACT And, UNLESS, I am throwing some SERIOUS money at them, I can expect, whats called in the industry, A standard FORM REJECTION letter. Which basically says, thanks, but no thanks. I know what ENCOUNTER is trying to do, but, the facts are, its gonna be hard to get one of those top artists like they PRd about to bite on this thing and take a chance on their reputation here. Now, they can get someone who has been down for a while, and doesnt have big hits in the last few years. Those artists are always looking to get their names and brands back in the action and are willing to take these kinds of chances.
Thats why they keep on getting these regional guys to try to grass roots grow this thing which is ok with me. Its also why they have delayed this celeb announcement for months now. Still, I have yet to see the first green screen deal they shot. Hope we see more work done this weekend. We need to see something substantive, besides, PRS and CCs. . SHOW.. talk about it later!
