I wish I could tell you the answer to that. The truth is, there was so much milling around, given that we were already starting late (trains not being in on time) that people were going in and out constantly, and the clerk and the bailiff were in and out talking to so many attorneys...it would be impossible for me to do justice to your question. It seemed like one minute we were ready to start, and the next minute...half of the courtroom was emptying out for her chambers. The Judge never made it into the room until 12:10 or so...
