Sequenom (SQNM) loses 18 cents to $5.57 and 27K calls traded on the biotech so far today. One player sold 10K July 6 calls at 36 cents each on CBOE. Another block of 10K Aug 6 calls traded on the 61 cents bid. The action looks opening and like some premium sellers are taking advantage of high implied volatility to write out-of-the-money call options. IV is down 1 percent to 106 today. On June 8, Ladenburg analysts said they think SQNM collaborator Dr. Dennis Lo may present Down’s Syndrome data July 13th at International Society for Prenatal Diagnosis (ISPD) conference in Amsterdam.
