My impression is that the best and brightest today often have considerable depth but only in a very narrow area. Most simply don't care how the government works, where Tashkent is, or how to hang drywall. I am not commenting here, but merely observing. I readily admit that much of what I know (or think I know) is of very little utility.

I'm often not sure what I really know about NNVC!
