Here is a loan scam example from a June 27 2010 report -
"Recently unsealed federal court records portray a pattern of deceit that systematically built up the hopes of investors and developers but never delivered on the multimillion-dollar loans they were seeking. The scam artists allegedly told victims they could secure huge loans in exchange for six-figure application fees."
