I respectfully disagree. Overall, I think we can expect to see more FDA requests for larger and longer safety trials for a wide array of drugs and drug candidates.

If Congress succeeds in splitting off the FDA’s drug-safety function into a separate bureaucracy as some are demanding, it will make life even harder for drug developers.
