Fred, I don't believe you tried to help me the way I needed to be helped. I think you're trying to get me to adopt your own morals and rules to live by. My issue here is my insulting behavior towards others when in debate.

But, it is very possible to conduct a debate/refute someone without flaming them, cursing, or attacking them. If you aren't fighting over a particular issue (stock, politics), then you are fighting over the wrong thing. Remember, never attack the person, just the issue. You lace the two together too closely and that is what lands you in Club Matt all too often.
Did you read that? Matt clearly said it was alright to debate issues with attackers. People usually just don't run up to you and call you names without a reason. Name calling usually happens when the two debaters run out of intelligent things to say, which for some, can happen sooner than usual.
If you're saying you're giving up on me, then I don't believe you put in your best effort. I believe you just don't want me on this site, that is why you're choosing to give up. I'd much rather have Matt discuss this with me than you anyway, atleast he's willing to "discuss" it in the first place.
