alas, mad dog prosecutors have control of the field...scaring witnesses to death with unspoken threats of 'help us out , even if you have to lie, and it will save your ass, but if you don't , and you lose YOUR case, you'll hang'

The big penalties are creating a situation where people are squeezed into taking a plea, even if iinnocent.

Tough system. Not saying Tony is or is not innocent himself...but he's probably taking it on the chin hard, by very aggressive prosecution. Scape Goat, to an extent , no doubt in my mind....
