I think that's too strongly put. This is very much a theoretical concern, and the work I cited remains very obscure. So it might come back to bite them many years from now, but I doubt it will have much impact on the stock price of any of the companies involved in the short/medium term.

Isn't this something though where the ultra-conservative FDA might require companies involved with Syk inhibitors to run lengthy and expensive trials to show there's no increased cancer risk? If the potential concerns with Syk inhibitors are on the FDA's radar at all, I'd expect it would be very cautious in granting approval.
