hap, you almost got it there. The Republicans did not like all of the add ons to the bill. They made the offer to use the unused stimulus funds to solely extend the jobless benefits for the next month, so more work could be done on the bill and the Dems shot that down. In this case, if you are one of the people losing your jobles benefits, know it was the Dems that caused it.

The real question is and we have seen it from both sides of the aisle, why can DC not face such important immediate issues without having to add on all kinds of crap that needs to be taken care of on its own merits?
