Bridging the gap between antennas doesn't cause the signal to drop at all.
Wrapping both both my hands all around the metal band and holding it for minutes at a time doesn't cause the signal to drop at all.
It just won't fit into the projection you've made for it, and that is hard for you to believe.
Although I wasn't able to replicate the anecdotal reports about loss of signal that are being posted online, I was able to replicate another occurrence of your insistence that things will behave as you believe they will because you can't believe they won't.
