I know how many people complete a real estate transaction.
But the simple truth is that in a cash transaction all that has to occur is payment and delivery of deed.
Fannie Mae contract does have the proration worksheet to be signed and the Waiver of Condition.
What they all did was attempt to hold my deed as ransom for unneeded fees such as the escrow you mentioned.
No doubt in the senario you outlined I would have the right to go after attorney for taking money and not providing what I purchased.
In this case Fannie took my money and did not give me what I purchased.
Instead assited their agents in the shakedown.
The amount of closings you have been to has no bearing on this.
Though it is a point I make that the private bribery is the status quo with Fannie and her agents.

Gonna make a difference !
