K-squared - Evenin'! First, earlier today, I saw on CNN-Headline News an item about the bear situation in Sussex (I think) County NJ. Don't know if you caught it, but I imagine they will run it through the evening. Anyway, it seems like you getting a .22 rifle and sharpening your target skills on the Groundhogs may just be a precursor to getting yourself a good high-power rifle and going "B'aar Huntin" ... Those little rascals sure tear things up, don't they? And from what the reporter was saying they are increasing rapidly!
Second, the swerving thing is just a reflex. Hey, I still do it whenever I see a squirrel cross the road in front of me, and I have shot hundreds of them. It is just a reflex, and can be a dangerous one if anyone else in coming from the opposite direction! I wouldn't worry about it affecting your 'hunter/gatherer' instincts. When it comes time to pull the trigger, my money is that you can do it with no real problems.
Thanks for the good wishes. I am certain that job will materialize real soon, in spite of my best efforts to avoid it!
