actually it's pretty simple:

Let's say Geico starts advertising "Text GEICO to Go800" until you can't stand it anymore.

But Progressive doesn't have a keyword yet (as you can see they advertise a gazillion times a day as well).

When it comes time for someone to call for an auto insurance quote, what will they remember first? That's right. They'll probably text GEICO to Go800.

Then Progressive figures out why they're losing so much business to Geico. All of a sudden you'll start hearing "Text Progressive to Go800" until you can't take it anymore.

The only thing that's surprising me is that GEICO hasn't started advertising using Go800 yet. A complete no-brainer. But let's see what happens when the advertising agency gala happens next month.

All IMO, but a great marketing tool.
